For the #100dayproject last year I devised a simple creative project that I could do for 100 days.
I planned to create a small 6cm square fibre piece using only the materials from my scrap fibre box in the studio. This is the box where all the messy, mixed up ends of fibre go after I’ve finished a piece. A bit like the remains of each palette! I also allowed use of the cocoons and scrapstore finds box.
I found that the best chance of being able to keep this up for 100 days was to set limitations . If I had access to all the materials in the studio then I would get carried away and spend too long. Same if I worked on anything larger!
I eventually got to 59 days before getting busy with Artweeks preparations! I found some blank aperture greeting cards and put these pieces into them for people to buy at Artweeks.
